LAMBICZOON

Milan, Italy

2013

Lambiczoon (son of lambic) is the result of a handcrafted project created by many people. Clean and simple neutral-coloured lines combined with coatings of vivid red that create a separation from the other elements. A touch of vintage.

The technical requirements and the two small snug rooms contribute to the creation of this monolithic bar: one is on the ground floor with chalk drawings of a handful of personalities in the lambic world by artist Agnese Caffi, and the other is downstairs in a barrel vault decorated with paintings and reminders of the world of brewing. In the words of Antonio Maiorano: '... There are so many reasons I wanted to open another nice little pub in a big city ... a pub that has a little bit of me in it with some of the beautiful things that I've seen in the world of beer, this fascinating world of spontaneous fermentations .. as well as much of the experience gained in recent years on the philosophy of good drinking, good food and the joy of good company .. but above all to bring my career to an end surrounded by my beloved beers and my great foreign friends from far away places.'

The bar has 12 taps, 3 of which are English pumps. The atmosphere is infused with delicate lighting and soft music in much the same way as a living room is.

Archtailor took care of Lambiczoon's corporate identity.
