Green Walls

Green walls - vertical gardens - consist of a green lawn, with plants and flowers planted on the wall. The realisation of vertical gardens calls for an ad hoc architectural study, which is able to ensure water supply through a special system placed between the layers of fibrous material.

Green walls, often conceived as a work of art due to the fact that they are aesthetically pleasing and wonderful to the eye, can be exploited to make urban surroundings more pleasant and green (they are often found in the city) and fully reconcile with the concept of eco luxury.

Besides being a distinctive element of green architecture, walls covered in vertical lawns are highly advantageous for the following reasons:

  • Thermal regulation
  • Enhancement of the building and subsequent psychological benefits
  • Acoustic performance
  • Air purification, thanks to the absorption of CO2 and the production of oxygen
  • Filtration and purification of air pollutants

The cladding of the facades of buildings by means of vertical gardens also offers the possibility of creating logos or advertising signs with different shades of green.
